Hosted ByChristiaan Mader

OUT TO LUNCH finds journalist Christiaan Mader conducting business Acadiana style: over lunch. Each week Christiaan invites guests from Acadiana's business community to join him. Beyond the foundations of the Acadiana economy - oil, cuisine, music - there is a vast network of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and even some of the country's largest companies who call Acadiana home. Out to Lunch is the cafeteria of the wider Acadiana business community. You can also hear the show on KRVS 88.7FM.

Les Kids – Out to Lunch – It’s Acadiana

One of the pieces of advice you often hear when you’re deciding on a career is, “Do something you love.” Inherent in this advice is the underlying assumption that “work” and things you love – like enjoying yourself – are two distinctly different undertakings. When we’re kids that distinction is way more blurred. Everything can be fun. Even school. Starting with Pre-school.

It’s probably not PC to call someone “nutty,” but nonetheless meet Nutty Scientist Alexandra Drouant, co-owner of Nutty Scientists of Acadiana. Nutty Scientists of Acadiana specializes in edu-tainment – a fun way for kids from 3 to 17 to learn science.

Although it’s a cliche, the children are our future. These three Acadiens on today’s Out to Lunch are touching a lot of young lives who, before you know it, are going to be the future of Acadiana.
